Summary. The use of levosimendan has been very effective in treatment of patients with anterior myocardial infarction and acute decompensation of heart failure associated with progressive renal insufficiency. The additional vasodilatory and organoprotective effects of levosimendan improved clinical and laboratory signs of progressive nephropathy in patients with acute myocardial infarction, improving renal blood flow and recovery of renal function.
